All animals at our shelter are in need of a second chance. They have been lost, given up or abandoned. They are all unwanted and helpless. You are giving them a new life in a loving home. Also you will be supporting Animal Protection and current & future projects.

What is included

In adoption fee for cats

All our cats at Animal Protection are vaccinated (distemper and rabies) and are dewormed (Droncit/Pyrantel). Our cats are also all spayed or neutered, including kittens. Each cat and kitten has a microchip with lifetime registration. Furthermore each cat at Animal Protection has been tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. Each cat at our shelter have been given a treatment against ticks and fleas.

You will also receive a cardboard cat carrier and several toys for your cat. Last, but not least; you will be supporting Animal Protection and our work.

Sidenote: kittens that are not old enough to receive the full distemper series or their first rabies vaccine may be brought back to Animal Protection to receive them at no additional charge.

What is included

In adoption fee for dogs

All dogs at Animal Protection are vaccinated (distemper, rabies, bordetella) and are dewormed (Drontal; a dewormer that kills all intestinal worms). All dogs are spayed or neutered, including puppies. Each dog at Animal Protection has a microchip with lifetime registration. Dogs who are 7 months or older have undergone a heartworm test. If positive for heartworms, the dog usually completes treatments before going home. All dogs over 7 weeks old receive monthly heartworm preventative while at Animal Protection.

Obviously all our dogs receive an extensive treatment for fleas and ticks. You will also receive a quality leash and collar for your dog. Last, but not least; you will be supporting Animal Protection and our work.
